Baby boy dies after falling from block of flats in Tottenham
An 18-month old baby boy has died after falling from a block of flats in north London.
The Met Police said officers discovered the the baby in a critical condition after the boy "fell from height" yesterday morning.
The were called to High Road, in Tottenham, at about 11am.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
An investigation has since been opened.
A Met Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 10:51am on Thursday, October 31 to reports of a baby falling from height in High Road, N17.
"Officers, the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade attended and found the baby boy in a critical condition.
"The child, believed to be aged 18 months, was taken to a north London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:39am.
"Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course"
No arrests have been made.
