Police appeal after woman left with life-changing injuries at carnival

A woman has been left with 'life changing injuries' after being bitten on her top lip by an unknown man at Notting Hill Carnival last weekend.

The Metropolitan Police say the incident took place at around 6pm on Sunday August 25, when the woman was approached by a man who told her he was "the devil", before leaning forward and biting her top lip.

The woman was taken to a west London hospital where she underwent surgery for her injuries. She will require more surgery in the future.

Police describe the suspect as a black man, of muscular build and with short, black hair, who was wearing a black T-shirt.
