Train hits the buffer at London Victoria
A Southern Railway train in passenger service has hit the buffer at London Victoria.
It crashed into the safety barrier at around six o'clock on Wednesday evening.
Passengers on social media reported hearing a loud bang and seeing smoke.
A Southern spokesperson said:
"At approximately 18.00 today a Southern service from East Grinstead collided at low speed with the buffer stop on platform 19 at Victoria station.
"There have been no reported injuries.
The Rail Accident Investigation Branch has been told and will now look into what happened.
Anyone using trains to and from Victoria were told to expect some delays but the disruption is now over.
