Man extradited from Romania in court charged with murder over London stabbing
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 21-year-old in 2015.
Shane O'Brien, 31, casually dressed in a black jumper, a dark fleece and jeans, spoke to confirm his personal details during the brief hearing at London's Westminster Magistrates' Court.
Josh Hanson, of Kingsbury in north-west London, was knifed to death in that RE Bar in Hillingdon, west London, in October 2015.
He was found with a serious wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as haemorrhage, inhalation of blood and an incised wound to the neck.
O'Brien was detained in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, last month.
Deputy chief district judge Tan Ikram ordered O'Brien to next appear in custody at Old Bailey on April 9.
A case management hearing was also scheduled for May 3.
