Stand-off in Croydon: Armed police surround a man claiming to have a gun
A man who claims to have a gun and has made threats to kill in a suspected domestic dispute has caused a lockdown in part of south London.
Police are negotiating with the suspect, who is in a car in Pagehurst Road in Addiscombe, near Croydon.
Armed and unarmed officers were called to the scene at around 8.30am on Tuesday, and road closures are in place.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said that at this stage there is no evidence of any terrorism element and the incident is believed to be domestic.
The man claims to have a gun but no firearm has yet been seen.
