Sadiq Khan: MPs should vote against Theresa May's Brexit deal

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan says MPs should vote against Theresa May's Brexit deal as it stands.

Khan, who is on a tour of European cities spreading the message that London is open for business, says the deal the Prime Minister is trying to secure is a bad one.

Asked if Brexit could stopped, Khan said: "We'll have to see what happens in Parliament. I am quite clear, though, that the deal the Prime Minister seems to be securing with the EU is a bad Brexit deal.

"I think if this deal is the deal taken to Parliament that MPs should vote against this deal."

Khan was speaking in Germany where he met business leaders and fellow politicians discuss post-Brexit London.

"I am going to carry on banging the drum for London as what I don't want is these German businesses going to Paris or other parts of Europe."
