Forty firefighters extinguish Mayfair blaze

Around forty firefighters tackled a blaze near the Saudi embassy in central London.

Images posted to social media showed a terraced building adjacent to the embassy in Mayfair engulfed in flames with fire crews attending to it.

London Fire Brigade confirmed the fire has been extinguished. .Emergency services were called at 9.17am to a fire in a restaurant next to the embassy. It was under control by 10.47am.
