Sales of stab-proof clothing rise after string of knife attacks
Sales of stab-proof clothing have risen after string of knife attacks in London.
Demand for cut-proof gloves has gone up by 25% since the beginning of 2018, according to BladeRunner, a protective clothing company. The company also sells T-shirts, hooded tops, scarves and long johns.
BladeRunner supplies the NHS, MOD, police and other organisations with cut-proof clothing. Sales have grown in major cities such as London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
