Man charged with Grenfell Tower fraud

A 33-year-old man has been charged with fraudulently obtaining money meant for Grenfell Tower survivors and bereaved families.

Antonio Gouveia is charged with two counts of fraud by false representation and will appear before magistrates in Westminster on Friday.

It is claimed he is neither a survivor of the tragedy nor someone left bereaved, but attempted to fraudulently get his hands on money meant for those affected.

Mr Gouveia is the 11th person to be charged with a fraud offence relating to Grenfell.
