Dramatic footage of attempted murder shooting released in bid to trace suspects
Footage of the moment a father-of-two was left for dead after being shot by two men has been released.
Police have put up a £20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects following the attempt on Haroon Hussain's life in Newham.
The 32-year-old sustained life-changing injuries after being shot with a semi-automatic weapon late on June 9 last year.
Video footage shows Mr Hussain being hit multiple times in an alleyway during the incident.
He was taken to hospital but is never expected to make a full recovery, according to Scotland Yard.
The Metropolitan Police said Mr Hussain now has trouble walking, suffers from epileptic fits, short-term memory loss and can't use his right hand properly.
Investigators believe more than a dozen shots were fired on the night in question.
Detectives believe that when Mr Hussain exited his flat in Beatrice Close he was confronted by two hooded males who been lying in wait in a motor vehicle nearby.
His wife was one of the first on the scene and found him lying on the street.
Detective Sergeant Nick Hamer said: "Mr Hussain is a local businessman with a young family and a clear motive for the attack on him has never been established.
"The effects on him have been traumatic both physically and psychologically.
"In addition this has had a profound effect on his family. They have had to move out of their home address due to this incident."
