60-year-old woman punched in the face during a brawl at a transgender rights event in Hyde Park
A 60-year-old woman was punched in the face during a brawl at a transgender rights event in Hyde Park.
Maria MacLachlan, who describes herself as a 'gender critical' feminist, was knocked to the ground while she filmed trans activists.
A fight followed and she was punched in the face by a man, before being knocked to the ground where she was kicked a number of times, according to police.
Maria was attacked while waiting to join a gender recognition talk, which was hosted by a panel of Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists.
TERFs believe that trans women should not be given the same rights as those born female.
Any witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to call Westminster police on 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC.
