A Soho strip club was evacuated after an explosion.

Firefighters were called to The Windmill in Archer Street after what police described as a “gas or electricity explosion”.

The "small" blast caused some damage to the pavement outside the club, which describes itself on its website as "London’s longest running strip club".

Roads were closed and pedestrians and drivers told to avoid the area after the explosion, which happened at around 5.30pm on Friday.

Police said the incident was "not being treated as terrorist related" and roads were reopened within three hours.
