Police 'extremely concerned' for the well-being of a man missing from mental health unit in north London

Police say they are "extremely concerned" for the well-being of a man missing from a mental health unit in Highgate.

Police in Camden Borough are appealing for the public's help in locating a man missing from a mental health unit in Highgate.

Robert McManus, 43, was last seen at around 5.45pm on December 22 at the Highgate Mental Health Centre, Dartmouth Park Hill, Highgate.

Officers and hospital staff are extremely concerned for his safety and well-being. He also does not have his medication that he requires.

Robert is described as white Irish; around 5ft 8ins tall with a thin build and short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing grey tracksuit top and bottoms with black trainers and a coat wrapped around his waist.

Robert has previously been found in the Kings Cross area, and is known to use the Underground but does not have an Oyster card.

He has previously shown intent to travel to Heathrow via the Piccadilly line to go to Ireland, despite not having a passport. It is also possible that he may attempt to travel to the East Sussex coast.
