Police have launched a hunt for a 'very vulnerable elderly woman' missing from east London care home.

Police are concerned for the welfare of a very vulnerable elderly woman who is missing from a care home in Edmonton.

Yvonne Pillay, 72, was last seen shortly before 3pm on December 3 on St Mary's Road, north London.

She is described as a black woman, 5ft 5ins tall and of thin build.

When last seen, she was wearing a purple or burgundy jumper, black trousers, black shoes and a black woolly hat. She was also carrying a blue bag.

Yvonne has severe Alzheimer's and officers are concerned as she has been missing overnight in the cold weather.

Anyone who may have seen her is asked to call Enfield police via 101.
