Men charged in connection with string of armed robberies
Two men have been charged in connection with a string of armed robberies across the south-east of England.
Nicholas Wordsworth, 43, of Fiona Court, Enfield and Mustafa Murteza, 48, of Tollington Road, Holloway, will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
They are each charged with conspiracy to commit robbery on or before November 18 2016, possession of a firearm, possession of a shotgun, possession of ammunition for a shotgun and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life.
The armed robberies, being investigated by the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad, have taken place across north London, Sussex, Hertfordshire, Essex, Oxfordshire and Kent.
