Britain's unluckiest rescue dog has finally found a new home after spending three years in a rescue centre.

Greyhound cross 'Bud' was Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's longest staying resident after being overlooked hundreds of times in favour of other animals.

He had been looking for a home for nearly three years, but since appearing on Paul O'Grady's For the Love of Dogs, 'Bud' has found somewhere to go.

Ian Corns and his family, who live in Kingswinford, West Midlands, answered Paul's personal appeal on the programme for a home for Bud.

Paul O'Grady said he was thrilled to hear 'Bud' had been rehomed.

Bud first went to Battersea in November 2013, because his owners' circumstances changed and they were no longer able to take care of him.>He spent years in kennels before going out on foster with two of the home's volunteers, to give him some stability while he waited for a new family.
