Fireworks and lanterns banned from Primrose Hill on Bonfire night with park to close early at 9pm
Fireworks and lanterns have been banned from Primrose Hill on Bonfire Night as police said the park will close early at 9pm.
The Royal Parks and Camden Police said people should not to bring fireworks or paper lanterns to Primrose Hill.
Police say an increasing number of people have been coming to Primrose Hill to celebrate and enjoy the various displays taking place in London on bonfire night and New Year’s Eve.
The park will close at 9pm during the bonfire night period and at 1am on New Year’s.
Police will man every gate to Primrose Hill to stop anyone attempting to bring in fireworks or lanterns.
They will be told to hand them over and may not be allowed into the park.
Throughout the firework season and in particular, Saturday, November 5 and Saturday, December 31, officers based in the parks will be supported by Camden Police, assisting with crowd control and making sure everyone clears the park safely.
