Police called in row over café customer's cup of tea

A café customer called the police in an argument over his cup of tea.

He dialed 999 after being served a lemon and ginger tea instead of the lemongrass and ginger tea he ordered.

Sevjan Melissa, who owns Birdie Num Nums in Lewisham Way, New Cross, told the Evening Standard the customer was offered a refund.

But he began writing a review on TripAdvisor and called the police after he was asked to leave, she said.
