A 10-year-old child actor and his aunt were killed when a car ploughed into them after it mounted the kerb during a police chase.

Makayah McDermott had just last week had an audition for a television series set in the 1950s.

His twin older sisters, Niyah and Yahla, were trapped underneath the black Ford Focus and managed to crawl out after up to 20 bystanders lifted it off them.

Their aunt, named as Rosie Cooper and thought to be in her 30s, was given CPR by a witness but died at the scene along with Makayah.

An 11-year-old girl, reportedly Ms Cooper’s daughter, screamed "I can't feel my legs" before being taken away in an ambulance.

All three girls suffered multiple injuries and remain in hospital.
