Sleeping woman taken on 35-mile detour by Uber driver
A comedian who fell asleep in an Uber car got a shock when the journey that should have taken minutes ended up as a 35-mile detour costing her £85.
Hannah Warman told the Evening Standard she ordered the cab to get home from a friends party, which was a five-minute walk away in Stoke Newington.
But after falling asleep, she was instead driven west through Wembley before eventually circling back - a journey that took 90 minutes.
The money has been refunded by Uber.
