Stratford station labelled a "nightmare" as West Ham fans cause severe overcrowding
Frustrated commuters took to Twitter to brand Stratford station the "7th circle of Hell" as football fans caused rush hour congestion.
Hundreds of West Ham fans, en route to watch the club play in a Europa League play-off at the nearby Olympic Stadium, converged on the east London station just as commuters were heading home.
Transport for London used Twitter to warn passengers that the interchange station would be “busier than usual” due to the West Ham match.
