British national killed in knife attack in Cyprus
A British national has been stabbed to death in Cyprus.
The 22-year-old, named as George Low from Dartford, was attacked in the popular tourist resort of Ayia Napa.
It is believed Mr Low stabbed in the neck. Another Briton was wounded in the late night attack, Cypriot police have confirmed.
The party resort is popular for young holidaymakers.
Famagusta district assistant police chief Georgios Economou said the two victims were walking along a busy street when they were attacked.
The other man was stabbed four times but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A Foreign Office spokesman said "We are providing support to the family of a British national who sadly died in Cyprus on 14th August and will remain in contact with the local authorities who are investigating."
Police are not linking the attack to terrorism.
