Bethnal Green murder: third man arrested
A third man has been arrested following the murder of a 31-year-old man who was stabbed to death near Bethnal Green tube station last month.
Luther Edwards was on his way home from a boxing even held at York Hall on Old Ford Road on the night of Friday July 29.
He had become involved in a fight inside the venue and was then attacked by several people as he left. He was found collapsed on the forecourt of a nearby petrol station.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. He had been stabbed in the heart.
A 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old man have already been arrested and bailed until September.
Today a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody in an East London police station.
