London hosts world's largest triathlon
It's the 20th year of the AJ Bell London Triathlon which has now grown to become the largest event of its kind in the world.
Ex-Spice girl Mel C is one of the competitors taking part in her first London Triathlon. She complete the Blenheim triathlon in June.
The number of women taking part in the event's 20-year history has risen from 12% in 1997 to 28% this year.
The first winner in 1997 was Simon Lessing, who said that the event's success represented the redevelopment of the East End and the Docklands area.
Thousands of fundraisers also take part, raising more than £1million for charity. Macmillan Cancer Support and Bloowise are the Co-official Gold Charities of the event.
