Thousands of cyclists are hitting the roads between Central London and Surrey today for the RideLondon races.

Amateur cyclists began setting off from the Olympic Park this morning on a 100-mile route which will take in Box Hill in Surrey before finishing in The Mall.

A second race over 46 miles is also beginning which will take riders from the Olympic Park to Thames Ditton and back to The Mall.

And at 1:15 this afternoon, the professional cyclists, including the Tour De France winner Chris Froome, will set off on the Classic race over 125 miles to Surrey and back. They're expected to get back to the finish line in the Mall around 6pm.

Transport for London is bringing in a series of road closures along the route but will reopen sections once the cyclists have gone past. Details are available on their website.
