Appeal after four-year-old boy injured in hit-and-run

Police are asking for the public's help finding a driver who injured a four-year-old boy in a hit-and-run leaving him fighting for life in hospital.

The car involved was a silver Mercedes E Class but officers do not know how many people were inside.

It happened at 6.15pm on Friday om Green Lanes, Palmers Green, north London.

The car drove off in the direction of Winchmore Hill.

The child was taken by London's Air Ambulance to hospital in a critical condition. He remains in hospital but he is no longer in life-threatening condition.
