Hundreds of concerned residents have signed a petition to stop a 'much-loved' squirrel from being exterminated.
A bizarre campaign was set-up to save a “much-loved” Woolwich squirrel from being exterminated by pest controllers.
Denna Giddons, a local resident who stated the petition said the animal was “part of the community”.
According to reports, pest controllers were apparently called after some residents complained he was allegedly ‘hiding nuts in people’s pot plants’.
More than 1,260 people have signed the "Save Cyril" campaign on change.org.
