West London council gets tough on 'Airbnb-style' rentals
A West London council has taken a tough stance on reported 'Airbnb and booking.com style' rentals as it closed down a flat that was being used for short-lets
Officials at Kensington and Chelsea council said and enforcement notices was lodged against the occupants of a flat in St Ann’s Road, Ladbroke Grove.
K&C council said it has received complaints from a number of residents about the flat being reportedly used by holidaymakers.
The council said enforcement notices are used where a flat is used for 100 nights a year for temporary accommodation, and where it is likely to adversely affect nearby residents, citing reasons such as "noise and disturbance".
The Evening Standard reported the St Ann’s Road flat was offered for rent on booking.com, but the listing has been removed.
