Second man charged over Hackney car park murder

Detectives have charged a second man over the murder of Mehmet Degerli, who was found collapsed in a Hackney car park after being attacked.

Mustafa Alparslan, 20, of Remington Road in Seven Sisters, north London, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court today.

Huseyin Akkoyun, 46, of no fixed abode, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with murder and will appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

Police launched their investigation after Mr Degerli, 49, was found in a small residents' car park in Sandringham Road, Dalston, at just after 1am on Wednesday 8 June.

He died at the scene as paramedics fought to save his life.
