Fresh flight delays at Gatwick Airport after runway closed

Flights in and out of Gatwick Airport continue to be hit by delays after one of its runways was closed because of reported damage.

The main runway was shut for about an hour on Sunday afternoon, with the northern runway being used instead.

Some flights were diverted, while others were delayed over reports of a "hole" on the runway.

Despite the runway reopening, delays remain.

A flight from Gothenburg to Gatwick was delayed by six hours overnight, while there are also reports of delays to flights out of Budapest.
