A 16-year-old boy is fighting for life after stabbing in south-east London.

Police said they were called to Payne Street, Deptford shortly after midnight to a report of a stabbing.

Officers found a 16-year-old boy with stab wounds.

The London Ambulance Service were called and the boy was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical.

So far there have been no arrests.

Cordons are in place, officers from Lewisham remain on scene and enquiries are ongoing.
