Watford announce Walter Mazzari as new manager

Watford FC has announced today that Italian Walter Mazzarri will become its head coach from July this year.

The 54-year old, who enjoyed a 15-year playing career in his home country, has a wealth of experience managing in the top-flight in Italy and has signed a three-year contract at Vicarage Road.

Mazzari managed the likes of Napoli and Inter Milan in his home country, and the club said it was delighted to secure him after a number of approaches had been made by rival clubs. He becomes the Hornets' eight manager in the last four years following Sanchez Flores' departure because of a break clause in his contract.
