Sadiq Khan denies Jeremy Corbyn is 'too toxic' to appear alongside as Labour leader misses key event
Mayoral hopeful Sadiq Khan today denied Jeremy Corbyn was 'too toxic' to appear with after the Labour leader missed a key campaign event.
Corbyn was unveiling a poster less than a mile away as Khan gave his final campaign speech to party supporters in London.
Khan and Corbyn have rarely been seen together in public since the Tooting MP was chosen as Labour candidate last Autumn.
Corbyn failed to appear alongside delegates when Khan gave his keynote speech to the Labour conference in September.
In stark contrast to Labour's campaign, David Cameron was tonight expected to make his fifth appearance alongside Tory Zac Goldsmith.
The Prime Minister was due to speak at a rally with Goldsmith and departing mayor Boris Johnson.
