Two men stabbed yards from St Paul's Cathedral
Police have confirmed that two men have been stabbed in a large fight outside a City bar yards from St Paul’s Cathedral.
Officers were called to Distaff Lane to reports of a “large-scale fight” just after 3am on Sunday.
A City of London Police spokesperson said two men were treated for stab wounds and were taken to hospital.
Both are in a stable condition.
Arrests had been made but the numbed has not yet been confirmed.
Forensics officers were this morning at the scene combing for evidence while a cordon was put in place.
Roads around St Paul’s were shut and buses diverted.
Police said the closures had no impact on the London Marathon route, which passes along nearby Upper Thames Street in its late stages.
