French Bulldog rescued after being punched, kicked and strangled
A dog was punched, kicked and strangled in front of shocked members of the public.
The French Bulldog was picked up by police and put in kennels. Officers were called by members of the public after seeing the attack in Waltham Abbey, Essex, at around 4.30pm on Monday.
Essex Police arrested a 47-year-old man from Waltham Abbey, who was then released on bail.
The dog is said to be doing well in kennels after the attack. Police are appealing for witnesses and asking anyone with video evidence to come forward.
