Vaisakhi celebrations return to City Hall

One of the holiest days in the Sikh calendar was celebrated by festival-goers at City Hall earlier today.

Londoners attended the Vaisakhi celebrations inside City Hall and along the riverside.

This year's celebrations take place just before the official Vaisakhi festival on the 13th April. Vaisakhi commemorates the beginning of Sikhism as a collective faith and is celebrated by over 126,000 Sikhs who live in the capital.
