London drivers spending 39 minutes a day in traffic jams

London drivers are spending 39 minutes every day stuck in traffic jams.

Research by TomTom shows motorists in the capital spend 149 hours a year going no where.

The figures show London is the second most congested city in the UK (beaten by Belfast), and is ranked 20th most congested in the world.

Here's are the London routes most affected by rising levels of congestion:

  • Marylebone Rd/Euston Rd

  • Lower & Upper Thames St/Byward St

  • Brompton Rd/Park Lane/Picadilly

  • West Cromwell Rd/Warwick Rd./Earls Ct Rd
