Detectives launch hunt for two men over stabbing of teenage boy near fast-food chicken shop

Detectives have launched a hunt for two men over the stabbing of a teenage boy near a fast-food chicken shop.

Officers was called to Brixton Road near to Oval tube station on Monday February 29 at 5.30pm to reports of a stabbing.

London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance also attended.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to a south London hospital with stab wound.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

It is believed that two men caught on CCTV were involved.

Both are thought to have carried out another assault on a number of people in the Tennessee Chicken Shop, Brixton Road, just prior to this incident.

Police have issued CCTV stills and footage from inside the shop of two males police would like to speak to in connection with the two incidents.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who can assist in identifying the suspects.

Both men are black, believed to be in their teens, and were wearing black clothing and dark hooded jackets.

The man that stabbed the victim was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and around 5ft 11ins.

Police are also appealing for those victims in the takeaway shop to come forward and speak to police as soon as possible.
