Detectives release CCTV video over hoverboard stabbing

Detectives have released a video of CCTV footage after a teenager was stabbed in the face and neck in a robbery over a hoverboard.

The 19-year-old man was riding a hoverboard on the pavement in Rookwood Road in Stamford Hill in Hackney when he was chased by two men.

They followed him down an alleyway close to the junction with Ravensdale Road, where he was stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital where doctors said he was lucky the blade did not hit his jugular vein.

He has since been discharged.

The two thugs are in their teens or early 20s and of average height and build.

One is believed to be black and the other Asian.

The attack happened around 3.45pm on December 5.
