Streets around Trafalgar Square are packed for today's Chinese New Year celebrations.

The Year of the Monkey is being celebrated in London with a parade making its way to Chinatown.

At Trafalgar Square, a stage has been set up for performances including gravity-defying high pole dances and acrobatics from Szechuan Opera

There will be a "monkey-themed finale" involving fireworks and a light projection on Nelson’s Column.
