New Cross residents greeted by 'football pitch' sized rubbish

Residents living in New Cross are being treated every day to 'football pitch' sized rubbish dumped on private property.

Nicknamed the 'Deptford Dump' by locals the pile of rubbish appears to be made up of illegally dumped construction waste.

Councillor Joe Dromey who represents the New Cross ward told ITV News

The waste is thought to have been taken from building sites around the local area and dumped to avoid disposal fees.
