Drug dealer beats up bus passenger after confusing cocaine with soft drink Coke
A drug dealer has been jailed after attacking a man who he tried to sell drugs to, after he overheard a conversation about the soft drink Coke.
Shahadat Hussain approached the 18 year-old victim and his friends who were on a bus in East London in the early hours of March 9th last year. He had heard the group talking about the drink Coke but took that to mean they were talking about cocaine.
When the group told Hussain to go away, he punched and slashed at his victim who was left with facial injuries requiring 12 stitches.
In October, Hussain was found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent. He had previously pleaded guilty to drugs offences.
