'Perfect son' killed in freak hockey accident
A 22-year-old man who died in a freak hockey accident has been described by his father as the "perfect son".
Tom Wilson died after being injured during training at the Old Loughtonians Hockey Club in Essex.
His dad, Graham Wilson who is a hockey correspondent at the Express, has thanked the emergency services and "all those who tried to save him that terrible night".
Tom was airlifted to hospital but could not be saved and his organs have been donated to those in need.
The former Coopers' Company and Coborn School pupil went on to Nottingham Trent University to study business and sport management where he got a 2:1.
It was there he registered to be an organ donor.
He later took up a junior surveyor's post with Lambert Smith Hampton in Oxford Street.
A memorial service will be held today for his friends and family.
