Donald Trump: Parts of London so radicalised 'police are afraid for their own lives'
US presidential hopeful Donald Trump claimed today that parts of London have become so radicalised that "police are afraid for their own lives".
Mr Trump, who is seeking the Republican nomination for next year's presidential election, has already sparked outrage across the Atlantic after saying that there should be "a total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the US.
His comments came in the wake of last week's terror attack in San Bernardino, California, where a Muslim couple believed to have been radicalised shot 14 dead at a health centre.
Speaking to US broadcaster MSNBC, Donald Trump said Paris was "no longer the safe city it once was" and went on to claim police were afraid for their own safety in London.
