Two men sprayed in face with 'noxious substance'

A 57-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being sprayed in the face with what police describe as a "noxious substance."

A second man was also injured but has not come forward to police.

Officers were called just before 8pm yesterday to Rostrevor Avenue, Stamford Hill, north London.

One witness said those injured were Jewish but police said the attack is not being treated as anti-Semitic.

The injuries of the man taken to hospital are not thought to be serious.
