National manhunt for murder suspect after 21-year-old is stabbed to death in bar packed with 40 people

Police launched a nationwide manhunt tonight, and offered a £10,000 reward, after a man was stabbed to death in a packed bar.

21-year-old Josh Hanson, who lived in Kingsbury, north London, was attacked at the RE bar in Eastcote, north-west London, early on Sunday.

The reward of £10,000 is on offer for information leading to the arrest of Shane O'Brien of Ladbroke Grove.

Members of the public have been asked not to approach O'Brien, 27, and to call 999 immediately if they see him.

Although he has links to the Ruislip area, police believe he could be anywhere in the country.

Police, who previously said there were as many as 40 people at the bar at the time of the incident, have also made a direct appeal to O'Brien to contact them.

He is described as a white male who is 6ft tall with a muscular build.

A day after his death Mr Hanson's mother Tracey Hanson spoke of her son's "upbeat approach to life" and appealed for help to find his killer.In a statement, she said:
