Thousands take part in Royal Parks Foundation half marathon

16,000 runners took part in the Royal Parks Foundation half marathon today, running 13.1 miles through some of London's most iconic green spaces.

The route runs through Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as going past landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, and the Royal Albert Hall.

Runners were raising money for 333 different charities, and organisers expect around £4 million to be donated this year.
