Man arrested over murder of Cricklewood mother

Police have arrested a man after a mother was found murdered at a flat in Cricklewood.

34 year old Miles Donnelly was arrested in Paddington on suspicion of murder this morning. Police had previously launched a campaign looking for him.

Ms Patel body was discovered at her home on Melrose Avenue on Thursday morning. A post mortem revealed the cause of death as strangulation. Her five year old son was found unharmed at the scene of her death.

Neighbours said she was a full time carer for her son, and spoke of their shock at her death.
