Murder investigation launched in Plumstead

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man's body was found underneath a bridge near Plumstead train station.

The 32 year old victim was discovered by a member of the public on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and pronounced him dead at the scene with serious head injuries.

Detectives believe they know his identity but are waiting for formal identification.
