Claudia Hicks, from Islington, has been nominated for her work helping families deal with unexpected bereavements.

She lost her brother Henry last year, in a moped crash, while he was being followed by police. He was just 18 years old.

His death naturally came as a massive shock to her family, but it also brought an unexpected financial burden: the funeral costs totalled £15,000. Luckily Claudia's family could afford to bear that, but she was struck by the fact that many other families would not be so lucky.

She decided to set up a foundation in her brother's name - the Henry Hicks Foundation to help bereaved parents with funeral costs and also offer emotional support.
